President McAleese Encourages UCD Confucius Institute to Further Strengthening Irish-Sino Links

President Mary McAleese today attended the celebrations of Irish Day at the Ireland Pavilion in the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.

UCD Confucius Institute second evening class awarding ceremony

On March 29th 2010 Ireland’s second evening class awarding ceremony took place. Chinese embassy in Ireland education department’s Professor Huiqing Dong attended this ceremony and gave the students the certificates.

Ireland’s first Confucius Classroom opening ceremony

On March 26th 2010, Ireland’s first Confucius Classroom opened in the girls school at Loreto, Bray (Bray is not in Dublin as the Chinese version of the article says). Chinese ambassador in Ireland Biwei Liu. Ireland’s head of UCD Hugh Brady attended the event.
